The Mission

 The Mission

As part of his mission, Dr. Benson N. Modie offers organised learning programmes for schools, work organisations, and the public.  His content is provided through presentations, seminars, and workshops.

“As a personal development educator, my overall intention is to help you to become better than not others, but better than you have always been.  I teach individuals like you, how to organize themselves for effective living, including the ability to work under minimal supervision, in all work roles.  The lessons I teach are those we, as society, don’t usually consider that important, but in essence are critical.  These are lessons which, although you may be a professional, like I am a geologist, we all need so badly to team up well with others at work, family, the community, or across humanity in general.  While your professional studies and qualifications can land you a great job, these lessons will certainly make you perform greatly in your job.  There’s nothing in the curriculum of any educational course work you’ve done that teaches these lessons”.

Workplace

Make work-life easier and enjoyable for your employees by helping them focus more on what they can give and how they can enhance their contributions.  This way will allow for their development and growth in personal productivity, across all aspects of work, including their own personal ventures in life.  Begin with the following words in mind, taken from Stephen R. Covey’s The 8th Habit book, when he says, “organisations are established to serve human needs, and there is no other reason for their existence”.    Help your team to learn how to make their value the purpose of showing up at work, to serve human needs, and seize the opportunity to create a sense of meaning in what they do, and hence a feeling of happiness in their work-life.

Learning Institutions

No doubt the advent of technology has enhanced the quality of the experience of life by some great length.  In addition, human lifestyles have become highly modernised, complex, and overwhelmingly sophisticated.  Nevertheless, to a young and inexperienced learner, still early in his/her journey of life, this has brought-in a great deal of distractions.   Most young persons struggle to pay attention and make the most out of their learning experience.  Sadly, many have either dropped out of school to chase after the promises of modern lifestyles or have simply failed to make the required grades to remain within the education system.    “When the student is ready the teacher will appear”, so says the wise from yesteryear.  On the contrary, when the student is not ready teaching becomes a struggle with no great outcomes.   If you sense struggle where you teach, it’s time to help your students to ready themselves for the learning experience.  Make effort to empower your students with foundational knowledge and life skills, to help them understand and appreciate the value of education in their lives, in the long-term.

Public Education

Get insight.  Remember that what you know now you have learned somewhere, and hence to know anything else you must learn something new. The learning process is everything.  How else would you understand ways to enhance your life, and as well to manoeuvre the ever-growing mounds of life’s obstacles?  Whatever life throws at you each day, don’t ask “Why me?” instead ask “How can I manage this?”.  All the answers to your questions about life challenges are provided in a non-exhaustive list of presentations and seminars, designed just to help you manage yourself for better against all that life throws at you.
