5 Key Things to Energize Your Enthusiasm as The New Year Takes Off

“It’s once again the beginning of the unfolding of a new year, which essentially is a packaged priceless natural gift that you are meant to enjoy over a period of twelve months. So, now is that moment for you to begin to unwrap your gift and figure out how you’re going to make the most out of it.  I don’t suppose you have any intention to let any minute of your gift go to waste.  That there’s such a schedule to have a new beginning, like the beginning of a new day, week, month, or year as is now, is intended to help you figure out how to do better what didn’t work out well last.  You’re now right at an opportune moment to set yourself and your life differently, for greater effectiveness and impact.  Remember, when it comes to your own life you are always the key authority in your journey of life.  You are accountable to setting yourself for the best use of your yearly gift of life.  It isn’t much about what others promises to make happen for you, in which case you’ll be giving away your power (as well your packaged gift), instead, it’s about you fortifying your role in getting your life ahead.  To make this work and make life happen for you as per your desires, you’re going to have to be firm in your role of self-governance.  The latter is meant to ensure your packaged priceless yearly gift works well for you, and not only this year, but for many more years lined up for you in the future.”

5 Key Things to Energize Your Enthusiasm as The New Year Takes Off!

Your personal readiness to embrace the new year, through self-organisation, is the most basic but very impactful practice that can allow you to make the most out of the new year gift.  The practice of self-organisation instils a sense of orderliness in how you’re set, which aids in the prioritization and focused approach, in undertaking your truly valuable life acts.  The latter is what can yield for you a greatly inspired and fulfilling experience of life, come the end of the year.  Below is a short but non-exhaustive list of possible ways you can adopt to organise yourself for making the most out of this year.

1.       See yourself as a critical link in the equation of human life.

How important and uplifting can it be to realize that you have all what it takes to live and experience a meaningful and joyous life?  I think, hugely important, and not only that but also totally life changing.  The idea is, as we can deduce from other forms of nature that support human life, you weren’t brought in to be a waiter or spectator, who just anticipates good things to happen somehow.  Your natural presence here was ever intentional.  You were brought in primarily to be a part of the equation of human life, in a proactively supportive stance.  This is called your purpose for being.  It’s about the value embedded in you to make a difference and create meaning in your life.  The latter i.e. meaning in life, is the key that unlocks a lasting sense of joy.  So, if you can see yourself as a fully empowered natural being, and set yourself to give value at home, at the workplace, in your community, or any other social settings in your environment of habitation, you’ll be all good to go for this year.

2.       Leverage your all-time basic skills of “learning how to learn”.

One of the greatest take-aways from the earliest levels of organised education i.e. schools’ system, which expectedly, though not a given, many had the opportunity to gain from, is empowerment in the basic skills of “learning how to learn”.  The latter entails foundational learning skills such as listening, observing, reading, asking, and writing, which you and anyone else can always leverage to make headway in life, any and everywhere.  There isn’t any more critical purpose of going through the schools’ than learning and internalizing these skills. You got empowered on this at primary school, and there need not be any excuse for giving away your power and look to someone else to do better for you.  If you can consider the value therefrom, e.g. enlightenment, insight etc., early in the year, and set yourself for some learning experience, you’ll be well organised to make the most out of your yearly gift.

3.       Learn about “intuition” and utilize to get your life ahead.

Intuition, we learn, is the ability to understand or know something by instinct, and not through the need to think, study, reason etc., as may happen in class.  In other words, it is that natural sense of knowing or gut feeling, which all humans can experience though unrelated to any prior learning.  The wise from yester-year teaches that before the advent of civilisation, human beings then relied heavily on intuition to maintain a sense of order and advancement in their lives.  Unfortunately, the onset of technology, over time, has created much distraction that makes intuition less recognisable and utilised, but is there to learn about, understand, and make use of.  Here’s what one of the greatest teachers of enlightenment, Dr. Wayne Dyer, used to say about intuition: “if prayer is you talking to God, then intuition is God talking to you”.  If intuition is something familiar to you, or you find it interesting and worth the while, then the beginning of a new year seems a great time to pay attention and sharpen your focus.

4.       Put your vision on the spotlight.

Before you can expect to manifest better in your life, you’ll need to create a clear vision of the future you desire to live and experience.  Such is a critical prerequisite to making the most out of any moment you have in life.  If you’re not clear about what you intend to manifest, then you’re certain to have your moment or yearly gift go to waste.  The subject of a visionary outlook is well captured in Stephen Covey’s masterpiece book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, wherein it’s presented as Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind.  The latter refers to your imaginary picture of the exact kind of life you wish to live and experience in the future.  Once you can get this clear in your mind then you’ll find it much easier to make your year count in no uncertain terms.  The power of a vision is to give you direction and impetus toward what matters most in your year.  So, begin this early in the year to set your mind on what you intend to create, and make effort to get what you need done, done.  Make sure you aim high, so your vision won’t be obstructed by low-lying features, and that if you don’t make it up there at least you get to end half-way.

5.       Lay a brick at a time.

Once you have figured out what you would like to do with your year then it’s time for action, which is what true living is about.  That means you’re now set to create your joy, utilizing every bit of your moment in the year.  Your vision for a better future becomes the guide to determine your sequence of engagements.  No doubt if you are like most you want to get things sorted out within the shortest possible time.  However, this isn’t at all about getting things done quickly, and then it’s over.  It’s about living, and every act you undertake is meant to be a whole experience of life you truly must feel and enjoy.  So, you want to be like a builder or brick layer who has a vision of the magnificent structure he/she bringing to reality and must enjoy every bit of the works.  In this case the strategy is to lay a brick at a time, so every moment is captured, felt, and celebrated.  You want to do the same with your life.  It’s not just about the end results or the end of year festivities, but that every now or every day must be and feel significant.  Perhaps even more importantly, your daily or weekly acts etc., must convey a sense of meaning to you, to trigger/generate an ambience of joy about what you do.  This is when you begin to “whistle as you work”, a mark of peace of mind and freedom from stress.    Now, this would be a gift well spent come the end of the year.

P.S. You know you are powerful, and you most certainly can do this, to make the most out of your new year.  You got this gift, appreciate it, and do something great with it.  Whatever didn’t turn out as you expected in the last year, you’ve another moment to make things better.  I believe you’ll find one or two snippets from the ideas shared above that can make a significant difference in your life this year.  Happy New Year!
