How To Muster Some Great Determination and Overcome Pitfalls

“A great and successful life is the dream of everyone, but only those who commit and persevere, tirelessly, to get to the end of their extra mile, make reality out of their dreams for a better life.  You too have what it takes.  Take note though that no matter how much you rate yourself you can never know enough.  The reason I say that is because there's not any person living on Earth today, who does not have challenges, big or small, and is struggling in some ways to get things right, as he/she desires.  The missing link to getting things right is always held up in some knowledge you lack, and most probably in those areas you hardly consider in your learning priorities”

How To Muster Some Great Determination and Overcome Pitfalls >>

As you reflect on how the current year has unfolded for you so far, notice how you feel about what worked and didn’t work.  If you’re like most there’ll be signs of disappointment to some extent, when you consider what you managed to do and not, as per your initial expectations.  If this sounds familiar, don’t let yourself worry too much about it, you’re one amongst many of us who also struggle to manifest all that we desire.  It’s not all lost though because you, like everyone else, have what it takes to bounce back and find your way through whatever challenges may have obstructed you.  There’s no one who doesn’t go through pitfalls, we all do, but the key thing is to believe in your natural power and ability to overcome any obstacle.  Just how do you begin the come back, you may wonder?  As James Allen advised, in his book As a Man Thinketh, “life is full of new beginnings”.  This means you can pause every hour, day, month, year etc., to reconsider your strategy of life.  Take a break from routine work, at the most appropriate time for you, and undertake a self-appraisal exercise to seriously ponder over your intentions about the future you desire.

No doubt if your journey so far hasn’t yielded for you as per your expectations, possibly because life threw too many challenges than you can handle, and that maybe left some unbearable dents in your life, it’s imperative that you make the effort to re-strategize.   It may well be that when you look as far back as where your journey started, or just where this current year begun, there's very little to nothing at all to celebrate.  Nevertheless, when it comes to a natural and unpredictable world, like the one we live in, such is something to be expected any period.  So, scheduling a moment or taking a break from routine work provides you an opportunity to consider what worked or didn't work as anticipated, and to reorganize, refocus, and make a new beginning to build the future you desire.  Allow yourself to notice the enigmatic natural power that you are, then you'll appreciate how much endless possibilities you have, to make your success a reality.  If you sense a deep burning desire to make some noticeable life changes, going forward, now seems the best moment to ready yourself for the new beginning.  The way to begin this process is to make conscious contact with the future you desire or the outcomes you wish to manifest in your life.

First Things First

Following is a non-exhaustive list of questions to help you kick-start your self-appraisal process and add zeal to your determination to do much better than ever before:

  •  What exactly would you like to see become a reality in your life?
  • What do you think must change this time around, about the way you handled your life previously?
  • What notable steps are you going to take, intentionally and self-driven, to ensure that the acts and efforts you'll provide will yield the outcomes you desire?
  • Just how determined are you to getting things done and going your way than perhaps looking to just repeat the same things as last?

If your journey of life so far feels like there’s no great cause for celebration or lacks that spark to ignite a sense of gratitude, because you just can’t figure out where all the past days, weeks, months, years, decades etc., have gone, and you have absolutely nothing to show for it, then it’s time to figure out a way to change course.  In my view, real success is an outcome of personal organisation, and hence to get yours, that is success, so you can have a truly eventful and fulfilling experience of life, going forward, you must begin each day on the right track or pathway.  Now, there’s two critical changes you must incorporate into the way you’re set in life, that’ll keep you on target, and if you want to know about it, just keep reading.

You’ve done all you possibly could, really? No, it’s time to plan-ahead!

Step Up for You

A great and successful life is the dream of everyone, but only those who commit and persevere, tirelessly, to get to the end of their extra mile, make reality out of their dreams for a better life.  The beginning of any form of success you anticipate, desire, or intend, is built upon the little steps you take each day, in the direction of your dream or expected outcomes.  If you want some form of success to reward yourself for, so you can have a meaningfully eventful life, worth celebrating by some margin, you’ll have to seriously get real with making sure that the little steps you undertake each day, are configured for advancement.  That means, in the midst of every-day-busyness in your life, there must be that 20% of activities, as defined by the Pareto Principle or 20/80 Rule, to ensure you have scheduled a moment for what matters most, in advancing your life to some achievement.

The Pareto Principle or 20/80 Rule, if you’re not familiar with it, stated simply, in my own words, says “of all the activities of your every-day-busyness, in other words, whatever you’re busy about in any given day, only 20% of those are what truly matters, and are guaranteed to give you 80% of the results or outcomes you desire, and that leaves 80% of your daily acts, referred in this principle as the trivial many, accounting only for 20% of the results you want.  Now, just understanding that prerequisite, for needing to undertake, each day, key small steps of activities that matters most to yield some achievements, is the beginning of setting yourself for a guaranteed eventful life, worth celebrating each day.  Not only that, but your dream or vision for a better future, must be set, in your mind, exactly the same way, if it must come to pass.

As you ponder over the deeper meaning of bringing the Pareto Principle into your equation of life, and perhaps wonder if it’s at all necessary to break your current rhythm of life, consider also the fact that your moment of human life is only limited.  You therefore need a way to fuel your enthusiasm to get things going soon, so you can turn your moment in life into a truly memorable experience.  The next critical thing to do then would be to ensure that every day becomes a moment to celebrate just that opportunity for being here in life.  This means you must develop a proactively enthusiastic approach, in taking on your daily little steps of advancement to your dream.  How can one do that, you may wonder?

Get Anchored on What You Are About

In my short experience in human life, and as well lessons learnt from my teachers and mentors, such as Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Myles Munroe, for example, it has become apparent that the one factor one needs to zest up their life, is the element of purpose.  The latter, defines what one truly believes they were brought into life for.  I found out that learning about purpose, and finding yours, and then linking it to your engagements in life, allows for the generation of a sense of meaning in life, and that in turn triggers a feel-good sensation.

Being purpose-driven is a great way to turn each day into a memorable occasion, and something to always look forward to.  All your daily acts become moments of celebrating life, as you tap into the power that you are, to either enhance your being through learning, or to create solutions that meet defined needs in your life, and as well your community.  If you can truly understand this structured way of living, based on the purpose-drive, and make sure to align your purpose for being with every act you plan to engage in, you’ll begin to increasingly enjoy all work you do, including what in the past may have seemed boring, hard, difficult etc.  This, simply because you now interpret your engagement in a different way, as now you see yourself as channelling your power, your abilities, your personal value, in a worthy and life-enhancing way, to create results that serves life, and that specifically representing the exact reason you were brought into life.  In other words, signifying your purpose for being.  All things done on purpose always produce a satisfactory and fulfilling experience, and if repeated each day transforms an entire lifespan into a hugely memorable and non-regrettable human life experience.

So, if you can link your purpose with the little steps, you must undertake each day i.e. your 20% activities of the Pareto Principle, which works to yield some intermediary achievements that leads to your dream, you’ll no doubt always be in a great celebratory mood.  You’ll be looking forward to each daybreak to engage, not because you must or else, but because it’s who you are and what you are here for.  You are the power that drives and makes life happen, and the outcome of all of this is your true natural success, and the feeling therefrom is hugely fulfilling.

New You, New Future!

Beginning this moment then, rather than wallow in disappointment, make effort to envision a better future.  Appreciate others as they celebrate their lives and see their success as a form of encouragement for you to organize yourself better around opportunities.  Imagine a life in the coming future, where you can get up each day, see and appreciate the value in you, engage such value to influence positive outcomes or achievements in life, at home, at work, at school, or wherever you have an opportunity to utilize your natural free flowing power of the being that you are.  Do this on purpose, and you’ll see your life inflates with much zest.

Going forward, throughout life in general, you’ll make success in most of what you do, because of the associated enhancement in your levels of commitment, resilience, and tenacity, as well as motivation and inspiration.  Given that your lifespan, as an individual, is limited in this human form, it makes much sense then that you turn every moment of your existence into a celebratory mood or occasion.

So then, if you ever find yourself stuck, and you truly feel like getting your life ahead, just use the challenging moments as opportunities to seek for a new beginning.  Consider the following two great ways for an optimistic outlook going into the future:

 1.    Internalize the wisdom of the Pareto Principle (20/80 Rule), and make it a habit to undertake, each day, key activities that guarantees advancement in your life!

2.   Get yourself enthused by the power of purpose and use the energy to drive your activities of what matters most to fruition.
